On 18th June 2023, Swiss voters approved by a vote of 59% to 41% the Climate and Innovation Act. The act codifies a net zero target — “cutting greenhouse gas emissions to as close to zero as possible” — by 2050.

A third of greenhouse gasses (GHGs) in Switzerland come from motorized transport. The decarbonization of this sector is key to achieve the 2050 target. This involves fundamental systems changes which require the collaboration across the sector. The changes will impact our daily lives.

The panelists are all part of the Mobility systems change. They will look at how the Swiss transport sector is being decarbonized today and what the future holds. They will highlight the collaborations that are taking place.
