In recent months, there has been a downturn in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) investing. In the US, President Donald Trump has reversed the pro-climate policies of his predecessor Joe Biden.

Some climate activists like Greta Thunberg are concentrated instead on the war in Gaza. The COP (Conference of the Parties) fails to act as fossil fuel producer lobbyists dominate the proceedings. Sustainability appears to be less important.

However, beyond the headlines there is a fundamental change happening in the business world. Companies once focused on short-term profit maximization are now managing their long-term value creation. Sustainability is increasingly at the core of successful businesses.

Executives International’s panel will bring together businesses that have successfully integrated sustainability into their organizations. They will discuss the obstacles that they have faced and how they overcame them.

Panel Discussion Members

  • Kevin McGeeney, CEO of SCB, will talk about how he built the Nyon-based company into a sizeable trading company. Their focus has been on the energy transition required to tackle climate change.
