Since 2018, the Solar Impulse Foundation has identified over 1300 clean and profitable Solutions to show political and economic decision-makers around the world that the technologies capable of enabling carbon neutrality are already here.

In order to fast-track their implementation, we have created the World Alliance for Efficient Solutions – a global strike force to empower cleantech innovators, investors and seekers, leveraging on current synergies and creating business opportunities.

In this session, Sabrina Cipullo, Head of Operations, and Mr. Ricardo Flores, Knowledge Management Officer, at the Solar Impulse Foundation, aim to:

Highlight the importance of identifying solutions around the world that enable entrepreneurs to protect the environment while being profitable;
Bring the attention to the already existing synergies amongst cleantech actors and on the need for a multi-stakeholder approach to leverage their power;
Inspire the attendees to join the World Alliance and help us build a more sustainable, resilient and just society.

Solar Impulse Foundation

To address sustainability challenges while enabling economic growth, Bertrand Piccard and the Solar Impulse Foundation have identified 1000+ clean and profitable solutions. The Solar Impulse Foundation has organized these solutions into a search-engine for climate action - the Solutions Explorer - in order to support their implementation at scale. By giving political and economic decision-makers the tools to adopt much more ambitious energy and environmental policies, the Foundation will help them to set a roadmap to reach their environmental objectives.

One of the first to envision ecology through the lens of profitability, Bertrand Piccard has always advocated that solving climate change – rather than an expensive problem – is a fantastic market opportunity. He actively speaks out against the absurdity of the outdated and polluting devices and systems we are still using and promotes the benefits of existing efficient technologies to motivate governments and industries to take action.
